Proof that freedom is worth sacrifice

On April 19th, 1775, American Samuel Whittemore took a stand for freedom and liberty for himself and for his descendants.
As a British column approached his position, Samuel stood and fired his musket. A British soldier fell.  He then pulled his dueling pistols and, at point blank range, took down 2 more.
Samuel drew his sword to continue the battle.  He was descended on by the British troops.  He was shot in the face with a .69 caliber musket,  bayoneted 13 times and bashed in the face with the butt of a rifle multiple times.
Did I  mention that Samuel was 80 years old at the time?
Samuel died at age 96.
If you think you can't do anything to defend freedom,  remember Samuel.
